Are there energy savings with adaptive defrost?

Most Victory units come with adaptive defrost. Adaptive defrost allows the controller to sense the buildup of ice on the coil and to initiate defrost. This is better than a timed defrost, where a cabinet initiates defrost every 6 hours, for example. Adaptive defrost allows for a more consistent cabinet temperature and increased energy savings.
